This is the final draft of my Wellness Poster
In Wellness class we learned about the Health Triangle. The Health Triangle consists of the Physical, Social, and Mental pieces of the Health Triangle. The definition of the Social part of Health Triangle is how you get along with others and how others perceive you. The definition of the Mental part of the Health Triangle is how you handle your thoughts, feelings, and problems. The definition of the Physical part of the Health Triangle is how you take care of your body. We had a project in STEM foundations and Wellness. STEM Foundations is a class that teaches art and communications. It also teaches the class about skills that you are supposed to use in outside jobs. Wellness is a class that teaches you about your body and how to be healthy. Our project was to make a poster that looked appealing and was colorful that thoroughly described each part of the Health Triangle. The poster had to be balanced with pictures and information. The pictures and information were supposed to communicate the good and bad aspects of each part of the Health Triangle (Social, Physical, Mental).
I used collaboration in my poster. Collaboration is to work with others and cooperate while being in unison. Being in unison means to know exactly what everyone is thinking when they are thinking it. I remember when we were running out of time and at that exact moment we all had a lightbulb moment and we worked our butts off and finished in just a nick of time. My partners were Gloria Campos and Brittany Lamb. I used collaboration when Brittany, Gloria, and I cooperated to achieve the goal of finishing the Wellness Poster. We really did argue a lot at the beginning of the project. We argued over colors and who could do different jobs. We also argued a lot because of the limited amount of time that we had. We were very much stressed. This project happened at the beginning of school. So we really didn’t know each other. In the blink of an eye we all became friends. We stopped arguing. We don’t really need to be friends to collaborate though. We just need to be able to get along and be adaptable with each other. When we collaborated, it felt warm because we were working so hard. We also had a lot of fun working with each other since we are still really good friends. Our collaboration was really good because we were good friends and we worked well together.
I used creativity in this project as well. Creativity is when you think outside the box, to think uniquely. In STEM Foundations, one of our requirements was to make the poster creative and appealing. At first my mind was going into a million different directions. I had no idea what to do but Brittany and Gloria seemed to have a pretty good idea. All of our juices were flowing and we came up with the idea of a triangle! The idea of a triangle is simple and creative because we made it with the colors of the rainbow. There were a lot of fun pictures (with a balanced amount of information). The letters were also neat and organized.
I have grown in this project. At first, Brittany, Gloria and I argued a lot but after the project, I realize that we grew more as friends and as a team. At first I really couldn't think of any creative ideas. After problem solving that situation, I now know creative ways of problem solving.
